Job summary

Alliance Laundry System LLC seeks a Senior Field Systems Engineer to diagnose and resolve complex firmware issues on laundry machines at customer sites worldwide. You will travel domestically and internationally, capturing debug data, deploying diagnostic firmware, and reproducing issues in the Ripon, WI lab.

You will work with embedded firmware teams on edge devices, IoT gateways, and cloud platforms, delivering root-cause analyses and production firmware patches. 25% travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of embedded systems / firmware development experience.
• Hands-on debugging of production embedded systems written in C on microcontrollers.
• Experience monitoring and analyzing communications between edge devices and IoT/cloud platforms.
• Prior field service or customer-site troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded architectures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex firmware issues on laundry machines at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot interoperability and communications between edge machines, IoT gateways, and cloud platforms.
• Capture field debug data and develop diagnostic firmware builds.
• Recreate field issues in lab and collaborate with firmware/electrical teams to patch production firmware.
• Document findings and root-cause analyses for internal stakeholders.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to customer sites.
