Mortenson Construction in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to coordinate and supervise project-based survey and layout requirements. You will oversee field operations, interface with contractors to ensure work aligns with design intent, manage quality control, and promote a safety culture on the site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of survey experience in construction projects.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Construction/Civil Engineering or related field.
• PLS license preferred; driver’s license required.
• Proficient with survey software and equipment (total station, GPS, data collectors).

Responsibilities

• Oversee project survey operations in construction survey.
• Interface with contractors and trades to ensure work accuracy relative to design intent.
• Manage quality control of self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Build cross-cultural relationships and resolve conflicts appropriately.
• Provide leadership to develop safety culture on site.
• Foster teamwork and promote diversity.
• Liaise between field engineers and contractors to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Promote the Zero Injury Safety Program.
• Coordinate with registered surveyor company for project start-up.
• Attend project meetings as required.
• Maintain relationships with customers, engineers, union reps, and subcontractors.
• Demonstrate professional customer service and a positive attitude.
• Ensure teams have resources and support to provide superior service.
• Lead operations consistent with Mortenson values.
• Model and exemplify the code of ethics.
• Promote a respectful environment and healthy work/life balance.
