Job summary

Southeastern Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Survey Party Chief 2 to lead our survey crew on diverse projects in Georgia. You will direct field activities, ensure accurate data collection, and maintain safety and scheduling standards on each survey.

The role requires mentorship of junior crew members and coordination with project teams. Responsibilities include boundary resolution, topographic mapping, route surveying, and interpreting right of way plans.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of various survey procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to eliminate roadblocks.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, walk long distances, and work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits proficient leadership through mentoring and solid decision making.
• Proficient understanding of boundary resolution and associated research.
• Proficient understanding of topographic mapping.
• Proficient route survey knowledge.
• Proficient in construction layout and/or right of way & easement layout.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction and right of way & easement plans.
• Proficient with surveying instruments, data collectors and peripheral tools.
• Maintain professional client relationships and report unsafe conditions.
• Record daily crew hours accurately.
• Overtime/night shifts and out-of-town projects as needed.
