Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a General Foreperson who coordinates crew members, equipment, and supplies to complete vegetation management projects safely, efficiently, and profitably. You will oversee daily operations, enforce safety rules, train staff, and ensure equipment readiness.

The role requires to travel between crew locations, manage time, and maintain quality while coordinating with utility representatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in utility vegetation management, construction, or related field.
• Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Must obtain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must travel to multiple crew locations during the week.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate crews, equipment, and supplies for efficient job execution.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and training is provided.
• Dispatch crews promptly to job sites and monitor performance.
• Maintain equipment and materials, prevent waste or loss.
• Hire, train, and discipline employees as needed.
• Manage hours and overtime to minimize non-chargeable time.
• Travel to crew locations and participate in storm restoration work when required.
