Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Construction Materials Field Supervisor to manage a team across multiple project sites, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency in testing services. You will balance leadership with hands-on project contributions and maintain strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates have a Civil/Geotechnical/Structural background with at least 2 years in construction materials testing and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction materials testing/inspecting soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt
• Experience in a supervisory or management role
• Active CM industry certifications (ACI Field Testing Grade I; ICC Special Inspector) and strong English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and oversight to field staff; organize schedules with clients and contractors
• Coordinate with Services Managers and Project Managers on project progress
• Train staff on field testing and inspections; oversee certifications
• Lead safety efforts; conduct regular safety meetings and coach on PPE usage
• Ensure testing equipment is available; assist with maintenance and calibration; support QA Supervisor
