S&ME, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Field Supervisor in Wilmington, NC. You will lead a team of field staff across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality testing, client relationships, and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical engineering or a construction-related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction materials testing/inspecting of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt.
• Experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Active Construction Materials industry certifications such as ACI Field Testing Grade I and ICC Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils).
• Strong communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

• Supervise field staff and schedule field assignments with clients and contractors.
• Coordinate with Services Managers and Project Managers on project progress.
• Train staff on field testing and inspections; oversee certifications; maintain certification records.
• Lead safety efforts and coach PPE use and safety protocols.
• Ensure access to testing equipment; assist with equipment maintenance and calibration; support QA Supervisor.
