Job summary

Absher Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on complex projects in the Pacific Northwest. You will mentor Superintendents and field staff, manage safety, quality, and scheduling, and collaborate with project teams to keep projects on time and profitable.

You will build strong client and partner relationships, participate in preconstruction as needed, and ensure adherence to safety and quality programs while growing Absher’s leadership bench.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• At least 5 years of construction leadership experience.
• Significant experience leading field operations on complex commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of sequencing, logistics, scheduling, quality control, safety, and trade coordination.
• Experience leading and developing Superintendents and field personnel.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, contracts, subcontracts.
• Understanding of how field decisions affect schedule, cost, risk, quality, and profitability.
• Experience working with union craft labor and labor agreements.
• OSHA 30 certification and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and construction management technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior-level oversight for field operations on assigned projects.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule, logistics, and profitability targets are met.
• Identify risks and resolve issues before they impact performance.
• Monitor progress and guide teams through challenges.
• Plan site logistics, inspections, testing, reporting, and QC activities.
• Mentor Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, foremen, and others.
• Participate in preconstruction and pursuit efforts as needed.
• Represent Absher professionally with owners, architects, and trade partners.
• Build strong client relationships and support business development.
