Job summary

National Coatings is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field teams across commercial, industrial, and specialty painting projects. You will review manpower needs, hire and train painters, and ensure safety and quality standards are met on each site.

Responsibilities include coordinating job setup, progress meetings, and daily project management, while maintaining strong client relations and ensuring adherence to schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of superintendent / supervisory experience.
• Proven commercial, industrial, and/or retail painting experience.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to painting and construction activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively and exhibit strong leadership.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to read drawings/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Review manpower schedule weekly to determine field personnel needs.
• Hire and onboard painters; review references and conduct interviews.
• Track progress, update foremen levels, and conduct reviews.
• Identify and develop leaders; promote teamwork and a positive culture.
• Oversee safety trainings and ensure compliance with policies.
• Manage site setup, scheduling, and progress meetings; coordinate equipment and materials.
• Attend weekly staff meetings; process per diem and payroll changes.
• Maintain client relations and address concerns; assist with production painting as needed.
