Job summary

Luster seeks a Structural Steel Bridge Inspector to support large heavy civil programs in the Savannah, GA region. You will inspect field erection of structural steel on bridges, verify material conformance, and document results for acceptance and payment.

Proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam and strong QA/QC focus are essential. Requires a civil/structural degree and 7+ years' experience on complex bridges, with knowledge of welding codes and field testing.

Qualifications

• Must have a civil/structural engineering or related bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience inspecting structural steel bridge erection and field welding.
• Proficiency with shop drawings, erection plans, and welding procedures.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.5 and related codes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect field erection of structural steel and verify conformance to plans.
• Coordinate and witness nondestructive testing and review MT, UT, PT results.
• Maintain inspection records and daily reports for acceptance and payment.
• Verify bearings, expansion joints, and post-tensioning hardware installation.
