Job summary

Aerzen USA Corp. seeks a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair Aerzen products at customer sites and our location.

You will perform startups, inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, while ensuring safety and high-quality service. Travel is required more than 50% of the time; you will communicate with customers, document service reports, and support engineering with design modifications.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree (2 years schooling) in electronics technology or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen Products at customer sites; Represent Aerzen in professional and courteous manner following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements.
• Installing, configuring, calibrating and maintaining control, measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital); Installing and terminating electrical, pneumatic and fluid connections; Understand controls narratives and analyze/troubleshoot process application related issues.
• Analyzing and correcting communication issues; Properly address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications.
• Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products; Disassemble; assess damage and evaluate failures on machines; diagnose problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; demonstrates the ability to offer machine-based recommendations; can identify the root cause of a machine failure; Utilize defined procedures and a standard rebuild kit.
• Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to perform service tasks, assembly and repairs on Aerzen Products.
• Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates during service call and at completion.
• Evaluate customer future needs and communicate information through appropriate channels.
• Assist engineering in plant design, modifications and hazard analysis.
