Senior Field Service Technician / Shop Supervisor

This position has a grade of 13 and reports to the Field Service Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

The Breaker Repair Shop Supervisor & FE is responsible for the ABB Service Center in Mesa, AZ, primarily conducting breaker inspections and repairs. You will develop practical and innovative ways to meet goals, execute business objectives, and influence short-term and long-term business strategies. The role reports directly to the West Region Services Manager. The work model is: hybrid.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Inspecting and repairing breakers, ordering parts via SAP, supervising labor on breaker repairs.
• Serving as the primary on-site representative for customers and ABB field personnel.
• Managing projects across ABB product lines, assisting customers with technical support on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Providing a single point of contact for customers and stakeholders across various systems.
• Supporting factory data collection, reporting, and fleet performance analysis, including marketing and sales opportunities.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years in a field engineering role, including power systems analysis and customer support experience.
• Experience with breakers, switchgear, power panels, motor control centers, transformers, relay testing, PLCs, DCS, VFDs preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50-70% within the US, mainly in the West region.
• Legal work authorization for the US required.
