Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a leader in aerospace and defense, is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician for our Lakewood, CA location. You will install, maintain and repair radio and antenna systems, interact with customers and vendors, and provide on-the-job training to junior technicians.

A valid driver's license is required, and you must be able to obtain SIDA clearance and a GROL within six months. This onsite role offers competitive hourly pay with benefits and opportunities for travel across

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent in related discipline.
• Minimum of two years of practical electronics experience.
• Valid driver's license due to travel requirements.
• Must be able to obtain SIDA badge (STA/CHRC) for access to certain campuses.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, adjust, and repair a wide range of communication equipment (radio/antenna systems).
• Use test equipment to perform proper installation or repair.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and contractors professionally in support of maintenance and installation activities.
• Provide on-the-job training to Associate Field Service Technicians.
• Provide after-hours on-call support; approx. 75% travel will be required.
• Obtain FCC General Radiotelephone Operator's License (GROL) within 6 months of hire.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and climb towers/structures up to 50 feet.
