Job summary

BearCom seeks a Senior Field Service Technician to install and support wireless communications systems for public safety and enterprise customers. You will program codeplugs, service complex UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz systems, and design solutions aligned with customer needs.

Role involves some regional travel, on-call hours, and a focus on customer satisfaction. Requires extensive RF knowledge, schematics interpretation, and certification experience with Astro 25 and MotoTRBO products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing RF equipment
• Strong understanding of two-way radio theory and RF propagation across bands
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
• Experience with Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment
• Must have valid driver's license and drive regularly

Responsibilities

• Install and support complex wireless systems including radios and dispatch consoles
• Create programming codeplugs (P25, CAP+, Linked Capacity+, etc.)
• Provide system recommendations and designs to meet customer requirements
• Travel regionally and potentially overnight; participate in on-call as needed
