Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to install, service and design complex wireless communications systems for public safety and enterprise clients. You will create codeplugs for P25 and other systems and provide design recommendations aligned with customer requirements.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, and Vertex equipment, strong RF theory knowledge, and proficiency with test equipment. Occasional travel and on-call duties are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of service technician experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless field.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory, RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install and service complex wireless communications systems (UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz).
• Create high-level programming codeplugs (P25, Linked CAP+, CAP MAX, Repeaters).
• Provide system recommendations and designs meeting customer requirements.
• Travel regionally and/or overnight; participate in on-call hours.
