Job summary

Mainspring Energy seeks highly motivated, mechanically inclined individuals to join our growing Field Service team. You will perform planned and reactive service on our generators, maintaining uptime and performance on customer sites in a defined region. Training occurs at our Menlo Park, CA headquarters, with travel to assigned regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair.
• Experience with precision measuring, down to .001", using micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks, etc.
• Candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift to 50 lbs., and wear required PPE.
• Must have knowledge of how to use and maintain basic tools, such as torque wrenches and torque specifications.
• Must have experience with following written and verbal work instructions while on-site.
• Excellent communication skills, software knowledge of Google Workspace is a plus.
• A proven track record for the ability to work well with others as part of a dynamic team.
• Ability to learn quickly, is self-motivated and safety oriented.
• Valid Driver's license required; Class A Commercial Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically repair and/or perform maintenance on components and assemblies that make up our generators.
• Collaborate with engineers to fix, repair, and redesign components and assemblies.
• Conduct mechanical inspections of deployed units, documenting condition information for debugging or troubleshooting.
• Be available to work rotational on-call shifts, as per the written schedule, to provide optimal service and support for our customers.
