Job summary

The Senior Field Service Technician at Xylem will initiate and execute field service activities at customer sites in a safe, efficient manner. Responsibilities include proactive troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, and routine sampling in a regional service area.

The ideal candidate will be located in the north Richmond, VA area, comfortable traveling 20-50% and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable water technology solutions.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 to 5 years of mechanical/technical work experience in industrial or commercial settings.
  • Experience with water, wastewater, chemical handling or analytical tasks is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 20–50% and pass background/drug screen.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Job Summary

The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes proactive system troubleshooting, works with mechanical, electrical, chemical feed and storage equipment,conducts routine contractual sampling and survey work, preventative/breakdown maintenance, maintains parts inventory, completes cost accounting time entry and field data entry, anticipates and corrects safety issues (both Company and Customer owned equipment). Has direct interfacing with customer and may be responsible for work in multiple systems/locations/customerswithin a primary service area and regional territory. The ideal candidate will be located in north Richmond, VA area.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • HS diploma or equivalent
Preferred
  • May have industry specific license(s) for water or wastewater
  • Trades /Training Certificates - HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical
Experience Requirements
  • Clean driving record
  • 2 to 5 years of mechanical/technical work experience including industrial or commercial process water experience
  • Water/Wastewater/Chemical handling, processing, analytical experience a

  • Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen
Skill Requirements

**The estimated salary range for this position is $29 to $33/hourly. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
