Job summary

Xylem, a Fortune 500 global water solutions company, is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician in Troy, MI. You will safely operate DOT-regulated vehicles, transport materials, and perform on-site field service activities including troubleshooting and servicing diesel equipment for multiple customers.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of technical experience, ability to obtain TWIC/DISA clearances, a valid CDL class A or B with endorsements, and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of technical work experience including industrial or commercial process water experience.
• Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc).
• Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical card and maintain a clean driving record.
• May hold industry-specific license(s).

Responsibilities

• Initiates and executes field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner; troubleshooting and servicing diesel equipment.
• Direct interfacing with customers; may work across multiple systems/locations/customers.
• Safely operate a DOT-regulated vehicle and transport materials/equipment as needed.

Senior Field Service Technician

• Safe operation of a DOT regulated vehicle.
• Transports materials/equipment from point A to point B.
• Initiates and executes field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner; including proactive system troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, diesel equipment conditions (based on the requirements of the assigned role/customer), anticipates and corrects safety issues (both Company and Customer owned equipment).
• Direct interfacing with customer; may be responsible for work in multiple systems /locations/customers.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc).
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical card, Clean driving record.
• Work experience preferred; 2 to 5 years of technical work experience including industrial or commercial process water experience.

Education Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent, & capable of obtaining a CDL, class A or B with applicable endorsements.
• May have industry specific license(s).
