Position Overview

Power your future with Qualus in our Specialized Field Services department as a Senior Field Service Technician. As a Senior Field Service Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in the testing, maintaining, and repairing a wide array of electrical equipment, including low and medium-voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor controls, and more. In this dynamic position, you'll not only provide hands-on technical expertise but also assist in leadership responsibilities, ensuring seamless operations both in the shop and out in the field. Responsibilities

1. Provide technical capabilities for testing relays, circuit breakers, transformers, motor control equipment, and related switchgear in the field, including synch check, point-to-point.
2. Perform and lead a crew in the field for testing/maintenance/repair of breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control and associated equipment.
3. Ensure proper preparation and documentation for site projects.
4. Help evaluate department talent base, identify training needs, and recommend effective action plans for meeting performance expectations.
5. Identify and secure equipment needs for shop/field.
6. Provide daily site summaries for site work in coordination with assigned project manager.
7. Provide weekly production status reports to project management, operations managers, and Service Assistant.
8. Maintain an understanding of the technical side of company core business needs.
9. Attend and contribute to project kickoff meetings.
10. Support budget adherence on projects.
11. Continuously instruct and train others.
12. Support the sales effort by assisting with labor estimates and job walks when necessary.
13. Remain current on all safety and technical training.

Qualifications

1. 3-5 years’ related experience in power plants, industrial services, primary power distribution and related protection and control schemes.
2. Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems experience.
3. Licensures and Certifications: NETA 2, 3, or 4 preferred.
4. Education: High School Diploma.
5. Reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications.
6. Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
9. Valid Driver’s license and good driving record.
