Job summary

Xylem is seeking an Elite/Lead Field Service Technician to perform on-site field service at customer locations in the Los Angeles area. You will troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems, perform preventative maintenance, manage parts inventory, and escalate issues when needed, while maintaining a strong safety culture.

The role requires 5–7 years of technical experience, the ability to obtain security clearances, and a customer-focused approach.

• 5 to 7 years of technical work experience.
• Ability to obtain customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.).
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical card.

Job Summary

The Elite/Lead Field Service Technician will be responsible for initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner. This role works with more advanced and multi/complex systems, proactively troubleshoots systems, works with mechanical, electrical, diesel equipment conditions, conducts preventative maintenance and parts inventory, and anticipates and corrects safety issues (both Company and Customer owned equipment). Has direct interfacing with customer and may be responsible for work in multiple systems/locations/customers. This role is responsible for the escalation and leveraging appropriate company resources to address issues, both with personnel and customers.

Education & Experience Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent

• Technical military background
• Tech Cert, Degree or industry specific license(s)

Experience Requirements

• Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical card
• Work experience preferred
• 5 to 7 years of technical work experience

Skill Requirements

• Electrical, mechanical, diesel, fusion experience depending on business unit
• Work without direct supervision and provides coaching/training to junior-level technicians
• Technically sound
• Experience with Microsoft Office including smart devices
• Must have customer service experience
• Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
• Synthesizes technical information and communicates it clearly
• Derives insight from customer experience to produce outcomes and solve problems often in novel and unexpected ways

Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting ranges if $32-36Hr is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
