Job summary

Xylem Expert Field Service Technician position in the Los Angeles area involves initiating and executing field service at customer sites on advanced systems. You will troubleshoot, maintain and inspect mechanical, electrical and diesel equipment while ensuring safety and high quality service.

Customer interfacing and escalation to resources are required. The role emphasizes problem solving, teamwork, and independent initiative, with travel and a focus on safety and documentation using MS Office

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years of technical work experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.).
• Valid driver license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities at customer sites safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical/electrical/diesel systems and preventively maintain equipment.
• Interface with customers and escalate with appropriate resources when needed.

This role works with more advanced and multi/complex systems, proactively troubleshoots systems, works with mechanical, electrical, diesel equipment conditions, conducts preventative maintenance and parts inventory, and anticipates and corrects safety issues (both Company and Customer owned equipment). Has direct interfacing with customer and may be responsible for work in multiple systems/locations/customers.
