Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a field service technician to service and maintain laboratory equipment at customer sites across Benicia and surrounding areas. You will diagnose refrigeration and electronics issues, read wiring diagrams, perform mechanical and electrical repairs, and keep detailed service records.

The role requires safety-conscious work and occasional overtime. Candidates should have refrigeration training, 2+ years of hands-on experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong English

Qualifications

• Refrigeration training with hands-on field experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on service experience in refrigeration/electronics.
• Must have electrical and control troubleshooting skills.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams and using testing equipment.

Requirements

• Refrigeration training and 2+ years of hands-on experience


• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months with a clean record


• Universal EPA Certification preferred


• Electrical and control troubleshooting experience required


• Willingness to pass a government background check


• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills


• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Trade School Certificate, Military/Formal Training, or equivalent experience


• Hands-on expertise in refrigeration and electronics


• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues


• Proficiency with testing equipment and reading wiring diagrams


• Understanding of mechanical and electrical repairs


• Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records

• Availability for occasional overtime and rotating on-call duties
