Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to join our Arlington, TX team. You will service and maintain water purification equipment, using a company vehicle, across the local area with occasional on-call rotation and overtime opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of technical experience, strong troubleshooting, and customer service skills. Travel is up to ~25% with day shifts and opportunities for professional growth within a global water technology leader.

Position Summary

Xylem is looking for a Senior Field Service technician to report to our Arlington, TX facility and service our customers in the surrounding areas.

What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of our water purification equipment, utilizing a company service vehicle, within our Light Industries Division. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person, but previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience is especially encouraged.This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

• Creates and maintains safe working environment and cultures within the organization
• Takes care of company property
• Proactively trouble shoots systems for mechanical, electrical equipment conditions
• Anticipates and corrects safety issues - both company and customer owned equipment
• Direct interfacing with customers
• May be responsible for work in multiple systems, locations or customers
• Provides coaching

Position Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Industry specific licenses preferred
• Ability to obtain TWIC card
• Ability to coach and train entry-level technicians
• 2-5 years technical experience including industrial or commercial process water experience
• Experience with Microsoft office including smart devices
• Must have customer service experience
• Demonstrates critical thinking and trouble shooting ability
• Able to operate company service vehicle safely
• Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen

The estimated salary range for this position is $27 to $33 an hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
