Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician II to join a leading wireless communications organization in St Paul, MN. The Field Service Technician II will install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain two-way radio and wireless communications systems while supporting customer communication infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, programming, and maintaining two-way radio or wireless systems.
• Strong knowledge of RF theory, RF propagation, UHF/VHF/800/900 MHz systems and related equipment.
• Experience programming radios and creating/editing radio codeplugs.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain wireless communications equipment including UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems.
• Program and manage radio codeplugs with multi-zone configurations.
• Service repeaters, antennas, duplexers, multicouplers, base stations and related RF gear.
• Use spectrum analyzers, service monitors, wattmeters, TDRs, FDRs and multimeters to diagnose issues.
• Recommend hardware and solutions meeting customer requirements and provide strong customer support.
