Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company in Garner, NC, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for field service. You will oversee daily field service production, coordinate repairs with customers, and ensure work orders and warranty processes are properly documented.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and deep knowledge of service contracts and budgeting. You will drive efficiency, supervise technicians, and mentor staff while maintaining customer relations.

Qualifications

• A four-year college graduate in business or related field with at least five years of service industry experience and three years managerial experience or an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Technology (or related technical field) with seven years of technical experience and three years of managerial experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily production effort for the field service operations; coordinates with customer to obtain repair approvals and communicate progress.
• Daily supervision of field service technicians to maintain productivity above 85%.
• Reviews and finalizes service work orders and documents for invoicing.
• Uses GPAX and Service Scheduler to manage field service operations.
• Manages the warranty claims program with a target recovery rate of 95% or higher.
• Assists in developing long-term business initiatives and enforcing department policies/procedures.
• Supports budget development and manages daily expenditures to meet budget obligations.
• Assists in quoting labor and parts for larger projects to ensure profitability.
• Ensures staff are trained on latest technical information and warranty updates.
