Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer to support Sundyne rotating equipment and control systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, repair, and commission pumps, compressors, and turbines, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver compliant solutions.

Requires 6+ years in field service engineering with 4+ years on rotating equipment, along with hands-on PLC/HMI and VFD expertise. Expect up to 60% travel and strict adherence to safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (science/engineering/math).
• 6+ years field service engineering experience; at least 4+ years on rotating equipment and control systems (pumps, compressors, turbines).
• Hands-on experience supporting 100+ field service interventions: troubleshooting, repair, commissioning.
• Proficiency with control systems hardware/software for rotating equipment: diagnostics, calibration, PLC/HMI troubleshooting, and VFD systems.
• Knowledge of API, OSHA, ISO standards with 100% compliance in field service operations and safety‑critical environments.
• Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is valued.
• 3+ years in oil and gas, chemical processing, or power generation sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in RCFA or structured troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage 3–5 concurrent field assignments or projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support, maintenance, and repair for rotating equipment and control systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to pumps, compressors, turbines, and related control hardware/software.
• Collaborate with engineering/product teams to implement compliant solutions.
• Conduct detailed training sessions for customers and internal teams on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in field work.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 60% as required.
