pro-beam is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex industrial machinery at customer sites across North America. No prior electron beam experience is required; hands-on equipment experience is valued.

The role involves up to 50–80% travel, collaboration with teams in Germany, and training to master electron beam, vacuum, and high‑voltage tech. Lombard, IL base with strong customer‑facing duties and independent problem solving.

Formación

• Several years of hands-on field service experience with complex industrial machinery or capital equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience installing, commissioning, servicing, or repairing industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery, industrial drives, motors, sensors, and machine safety systems.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills and a methodical troubleshooting approach.
• Ability to work independently at customer locations and collaborate with engineering teams when necessary.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50–80% across North America and internationally for training.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex industrial machinery at customer locations.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control-related failures and identify corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, electrical circuits, safety systems, controls, and networks.
• Perform hands-on mechanical repairs, replacements, adjustments, and testing.
• Support new machine installations, start-up procedures, and customer acceptance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical docs.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams in Germany on issues.
• Provide technical support and training to customers and staff.
• Document service findings and recommendations.
• Support Lombard facility activities as needed.
• Participate in training in Germany to develop expertise in electron beam tech.
