Job summary

Bloom Engineering, a Wabtec Company, seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to lead on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of industrial combustion systems across the United States. You will be the primary technical authority, interfacing with plant operators and engineering teams, and ensuring safety and performance goals are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or equivalent technical discipline).
• Minimum of five (5) years of field service experience supporting industrial combustion or heating systems.
• Strong understanding of fundamental combustion principles, including air-to-fuel ratios and NOx formation.
• Minimum of two (2) years of direct experience with Bloom Engineering or similar equipment.
• Experience supporting industrial customers and working with safety codes such as NFPA 86/NFPA 70E.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of industrial combustion systems across the United States.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Review and support PID loop programming in single- and multi-loop control systems.
• Interpret data from diagnostic tools like multimeters and combustion analyzers.
• Serve as a technical liaison for customers including operators, engineers, and managers.
• Provide recommendations to improve performance, reliability, and safety.
• Mentor junior service personnel and coordinate with sales/engineering teams.
