Job summary

DSC Dredge, LLC is seeking a senior Product Support Specialist to lead on-site installation, startup, and repair of complex dredging equipment. This field role acts as the technical authority and primary customer contact, mentoring technicians and coordinating with Engineering.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, interface with manufacturing and customers through every project phase, and promote upgrades to improve performance while maintaining safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on field experience in electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a customer-facing role.
• Willing to travel 100% of the time—domestic and international—including extended assignments on short notice.
• Willing to work flexible or rotating shifts and stay reachable outside standard hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience training customer teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Leads on-site installation, startup, and repair of complex DSC dredging and support equipment, directing Technicians as needed.
• Diagnoses and resolves complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems; serves as the primary technical contact and liaison with the customer.
• Interfaces with DSC manufacturing facilities and the customer through all installation, training, and maintenance phases.
• Confirms customer facilities and support equipment are ready before dredging equipment arrives on site.
• Identifies and promotes equipment modifications, upgrades, and services to improve performance; supports upgrades and retrofits.
• Runs preventive maintenance programs and collaborates with Engineering on PM procedures.
• Initiates equipment modification recommendations to Engineering based on field findings.
• Mentors Product Support Technicians on assignment.
• Maintains technical proficiency across the full DSC product line and suggests manufacturing or cost improvements.
