Job summary

MSD is seeking a Senior Field Application Scientist, Protein XI, to support the launch and ongoing success of a new proteomic platform. You will serve as a scientific expert for customers and internal teams, combining immunoassay and NGS expertise, with hands-on method development during a rotation at MSD headquarters.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in relevant life sciences is required or equivalent.
• Master’s with equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3 years in field application scientist or scientific support.
• Hands-on NGS workflows, library prep, sequencing, basic data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical expert for customers using the proteomic platform.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workflow consultations.
• Troubleshoot complex assay challenges and data interpretation questions.
• Guide customers on experimental design, sample prep, and data analysis.
• Partner with bioinformatics/software teams on data delivery and workflows.
• Manage customer interactions and case updates in CRM systems.
• Deliver training plans, certifications, and onboarding workflows.
• Create success plans and QBR-ready updates for strategic accounts.
• Spend months onsite for hands-on platform proficiency.
