Job Description

The Senior Field Sales Executive is a quota-carrying team member responsible for selling a set of CS offerings to customer stakeholders within their book of accounts. The role involves driving new sales at new customers and cross-selling at existing ones. Responsibilities include working directly with customers to understand their needs, identifying relevant CS products, communicating their value, and facilitating all deal activities (pricing, quotes, contracts). The Senior Field Sales Executive will collaborate with Technical Sales, Customer Success, and Sales Support to identify, pursue, and close deals. They are accountable for achieving quotas, following processes, and maintaining customer relationships.

Remote Role Details

This is a USA-Remote role reporting to the Director, Financial Services Sales, under the Vice President, Financial Services. Part of BU – FCC | CS | Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, Inc.

Required Job Qualifications (minimum)
  • Travel requirement: approximately 20%.
  • 7+ years of direct B2B sales experience with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Experience selling into the Financial Services industry.
  • Industry experience and contacts; ability to build or elevate brand presence in the specialty lending sector.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com CRM.
  • Strong relationship-building interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to cross-sell across platforms with support from sales teams.
  • Consultative selling skills to recommend suitable products.
  • Negotiation skills for complex purchasing processes.
  • Persistence and drive for outbound sales activities.
  • Effective communication in face-to-face and virtual environments, including with senior executives.
  • Understanding of lead-to-order processes within lending or compliance industries.
  • Team collaboration with internal departments such as Technical Sales, Customer Success, Sales Support, Finance, Legal.
  • Quick learner with passion for CS offerings.
  • Goal-oriented with organizational skills to manage multiple accounts.
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Analytical skills for data-driven decision making.
  • Knowledge of financial services or lending workflows.
  • Experience in high-growth, fast-paced, or specialized product environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop understanding of account needs and create plans to meet demands.
  • Manage relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of CS products to meet customer needs, collaborating with Technical Sales.
  • Prioritize and respond to inbound leads and requests.
  • Use SFDC data and team collaboration to identify and close opportunities, support renewals/up-sells.
  • Keep CRM pipeline accurate.
  • Articulate value propositions of CS offerings, sourcing technical expertise as needed.
  • Follow sales methodology for configuring, pricing, quoting, negotiating, and closing.
  • Achieve individual quotas.
  • Share customer insights to influence product roadmaps.
  • Work with internal teams to pursue and close opportunities.
  • Support escalated customer issues.
  • Develop industry knowledge to enhance expertise and brand presence.

Compensation

Target salary range in CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $95,560 - $133,750. Role is eligible for commission.
