Job summary

Climate Systems LLC seeks an experienced Safety Manager to oversee the EHS program in Charlotte, Hickory, and Asheville, NC. You will conduct site visits, train field staff, and support safe work practices across multiple branches.

You will report to the Safety Director and manage safety at the field level. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a safety field or seven years of relevant experience, OSHA 30, OSHA 500 (Construction) is a plus, and CHST certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or seven years of relevant safety experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification is required.
• OSHA 500 / Authorized OSHA Instructor for Construction is a plus.
• CHST certification is preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required.
• CPR Instructor certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and safety audits.
• Ensure project safety adherence, performance, and compliance.
• Review project site forms and data.
• Assist personnel in performing JHAs and Safety Observations.
• Ensure subcontractors follow OSHA requirements and PSG policies.
• Monitor the performance of safety-critical tasks.
• Work with contractors to ensure proper safety practices.
• Represent PSG’s safety interests at sites.
• Follow up on safety incidents and near misses and conduct investigations.
• Conduct safety orientation for personnel as needed.
• Provide training on forklifts, scissor lifts, fall protection, and CPR.
