Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an energetic Safety Engineer to support safety programs at our advanced semiconductor facility in the United States. You will help identify risks, develop hazard controls, and educate teams to strengthen safety culture and compliance.

Responsibilities include hazard evaluation, incident investigations, training, audits, and ongoing improvement of safety processes in a fast-paced FAB environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or MS in Safety, IH, Environmental Science, Engineering, or closely related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in Health and Safety performing similar tasks required.
  • Familiarity with OSHA Regulations (Construction and General Industry) and reporting guidelines.
  • Preference for experience in General Industry at a semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) facility.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices during task performance at a semiconductor facility.
  • Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; and advise and educate others.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
  • Evaluate task performance to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and track results to support safety program elements.
  • Conduct incident investigations, site inspections, identify root cause, determine corrective actions, and support implementation.
  • Conduct employee training for education on site safety requirements.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with safety sub-committee.
  • Review and audit pre-task plans, site risk analyses and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with the daily management of the tiered auditing program including closure of facility’s preventative and corrective action plans.

Position Summary

Seeking an energetic Safety Engineer with strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assist with identifying risks that support safety programs for one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States. Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
