Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a Senior Field Property Claim Resolution Specialist for large-loss properties. You will handle the most complex claims, determine coverage and coordinate on-site inspections and repairs.

Expect extensive travel within the SF Bay to Sacramento market and leadership in catastrophe scenarios when needed. You will mentor teammates, manage high-exposure cases with minimal supervision and ensure exceptional service to policyholders throughout recovery.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced knowledge of claims handling procedures and full working knowledge of claims operations.
• Knowledge of coverages provided within homeowner policies.
• Demonstrated ability to handle highly complex/exposure claims.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage workload independently with good judgment.
• Proven customer service excellence.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Completion of advanced property training.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and at least 7 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate high-severity property losses, determine coverage and adjust the claim to dwelling and related structures.
• Manage a pending of complex, high-exposure claims with minimal supervision.
• Inspect loss sites in person and write appraisals for repairs and payments.
• Independently scope large losses and partner with network contractors.
• Certify and re-inspect Liberty-referred contractors as needed.
• Guide policyholders through coverage, itemize damages and arrange emergency repairs.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors and replacement providers to keep recovery moving.
• Spot suspicious losses and support SIU investigations when needed.
• Assist with CAT operations during catastrophe duty.
• Mentor team members and stand in for claims manager when required.
