The role requires 4–6 years of claims handling, knowledge of claims administration, and proficiency with claims software.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4-6 years prior claims handling experience required.
• 4-6 years property claims administration experience preferred.
• 1-3 years construction industry experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of claims administration best practices.
• Moderate knowledge of insurance, fault assessment, negligence and subrogation.
• Proficiency with claims software and Microsoft Office.

Aufgaben

• Identify and obtain statements from insureds, vendors and witnesses; conduct investigations.
• Evaluate claim values and determine damages from data.
• Explain benefits, coverages and claims process in compliance with regulations.
• Negotiate within authority to resolve first-party homeowner claims.
• Update and document claim files in company systems (CACS, HUON, HOC, Guidewire).
• Coordinate with internal/external departments to resolve coverage issues.
• May attend and participate in legal proceedings.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and problems.
