Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. seeks a field‑level Field Network Engineer for the ITS Infra program in Washington, DC. This hands‑on role designs, deploys, and operates a secure ITS network connecting traffic signals, CCTV, and IoT devices across the district.

You’ll work in field and data center environments focusing on uptime, safety, and reliable operations in mission‑critical settings. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12 years of relevant network engineering experience.
• Experience with ITS or transport networks.
• Experience with DMVPN, IPsec, GRE, and BGP/OSPF/EIGRP.
• CCNA required; CCIE Enterprise, CFOT or similar highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support Cisco DMVPN hub-and-spoke and spoke-to-spoke networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot IPsec VPN, GRE, and NHRP mappings.
• Implement dynamic routing (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP) over DMVPN for failover.
• Design and implement failover/redundancy including LTE/5G backups.
• Monitor tunnel health, latency, and throughput end-to-end.
• Manage Metro Ethernet provisioning and dual-WAN redundancy.
