Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field technician to perform in-field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials on various projects in Buffalo, NY. You will communicate results to the Project Manager, prepare written and digital reports, and transport samples to the lab for further analysis.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, valid driver’s license, and proficiency with Word/Excel. NICET ICC, AWS, and ASNT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience.
• Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word and Excel
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the PM.
• Maintains equipment and calibration.
• Follows safety rules and practices for all projects.
