Job summary

Abacus Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Tier 2 Field Service Engineer Journeyman to provide on-site IT support in a federal environment. This role supports end users with hands-on troubleshooting of computers, peripherals, and network connectivity, and is customer-facing requiring strong problem-solving skills.

You will work independently in an office setting, document activities in ticketing systems, and collaborate with staff to address system needs and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
• Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers and related software
• Support basic network connectivity and hardware issues
• Connect devices to existing data networks
• Maintain trouble logs and documentation in ticketing systems
• Provide in-person and remote support to end users
• Perform minor hardware and software repairs
• Assist users with proper use of hardware and software
• Document daily support activities and resolutions
• Collaborate with staff and management regarding system needs and improvements
