Job summary

The New York City Department of Transportation seeks an Associate Inspector (Highways) to supervise and train inspection staff in field and office operations, review enforcement actions, and ensure quality control of reports. Qualifications

• Selected candidate should possess supervisory experience, strong field operation and administrative background.
• Excellent communication, organization, writing skills and experience working with technical and non-technical staff.
• Preference will be given to candidate with intermediate to advance computer skills (Word, Outlook & Excel) and familiarity with DOT platforms.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate inspection staff in field and office operations.
• Review, audit, and ensure quality control of inspection reports and enforcement actions.
• Represent the Borough or Unit in meetings and liaise with contractors, city agencies, and the public.
