Job summary

Senior Field Geotechnical Engineer in Clay, NY leads on-site geotechnical work for a large semiconductor facility. Role centers on drilled shaft construction socketed into rock and earthwork with ground improvement, requiring independent field engineering judgment and coordination with the Engineer of Record and client.

Position is field-based for an extended duration with potential transition to another project; travel to other U.S. sites may be required.

Qualifications

• M.S. degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Ph.D. with progressive experience.
• PE registration in NY or ability to obtain by comity.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision during drilled shaft installation, including verification of location, plumbness, diameter and rock socket length.
• Oversee earthwork and ground improvement with over-excavation and granular replacement.
• Maintain field documentation (daily reports, NCRs, quality records) and coordinate with home-office engineering.
