Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Manager of Field Engineering Services 3 to lead ~40 engineers and support staff at Field Site Kings Bay, GA. The role entails on-site leadership, customer coordination with senior military and corporate staff, and oversight of operations per contract and fleet needs.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in government contracts, program management, and Navy experience, plus the required security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15 years’, or master’s degree and 10 years’ experience supporting the US Government, Government contracts, or project management in other industries.
• Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead or supervisor.
• Demonstrated success aligning teams, organizations to achieve a common goal.
• Secret or above U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a field operations team conducting analysis of product implementations and troubleshoot issues per customer specs.
• Assess product needs and conduct technical training and briefings with customers and vendors.
• Act as the on-site designated representative to senior military and corporate staff.
• Oversee day-to-day Field Site Kings Bay operations and manage subordinates.
• Ensure site duties meet contract obligations and emergent fleet requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to management and staff.
• Maintain quality and safety across all field operations.
• Collaborate with counterparts to leverage capabilities for the enterprise.
• Attend customer meetings and travel to customer and company sites.
• Discuss Navy shipboard systems and processes with stakeholders.
