Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Manager of Field Engineering Services 3 to lead the Kings Bay field operations supporting the Marine Systems Business Unit and Navy submarine fleet. The role is onsite at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA, with ~40 engineers and staff, reporting to senior military and corporate leadership.

The position requires a Secret clearance, 15 years’ experience (15+ or 10+ with a Master’s) in government contracts or project management, and proven leadership at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15 years’ experience, or Master’s degree and 10 years’ experience with US Government contracts or project management.
• Secret or above U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Experience leading tasks on schedule, at cost, and meeting all requirements as project lead or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Field Site Kings Bay operations through managers, engineers, and staff.
• Act as customer on-site representative to senior military and corporate leadership.
• Ensure all site responsibilities meet contract obligations and fleet requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to management and support staff.
• Own quality and safety across operations at Field Site Kings Bay.
• Collaborate with counterparts to leverage field-site capabilities.
• Attend customer meetings; travel to customer and HQ as needed.
• Responsible for talent acquisition at the site.
• Discuss Navy shipboard systems and processes with stakeholders.
