Job summary

UNICO Engineering is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee construction projects for local transportation contracts in Southern California. You will act as owner's representative, lead meetings, review plans, and ensure compliance with contract documents.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in the field, a BS in Construction Management, Civil, or Structural Engineering, California PE, and ability to manage cost and schedule, supervise teams, and coordinate with clients, consultants,

Qualifications

BS in Construction Management, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer in California.
10+ years of industry experience in a related discipline.
5 years managing construction projects or as a resident engineer for a public agency.
Valid driver's license and clear DMV record.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

Act as owner's representative to oversee construction projects.
Attend and lead client and contractor meetings and review plans.
Ensure compliance with contract documents and provide project documentation.
Oversee field inspection, supervise teams, and manage cost and schedule controls.
