Job summary

MPI in Houston seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers on commercial construction projects. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate activities to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals, and stay involved on site to resolve issues quickly.

You will manage RFIs and submittals, oversee documentation workflows, assist with subcontract administration and change orders, and help track costs and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience supporting or leading commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, construction sequencing, and field operations.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing project documentation workflows.
• Working knowledge of contracts, change orders, budgeting, job costing, and cash flow principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Procore.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior project team members.

Description

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in the successful delivery of commercial construction projects while serving as a mentor to junior Project Engineers.

Profile

For the Senior Project Engineer we are seeking:
