Job summary

Enterris Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior Field Engineer to support Active Transportation projects in the Los Angeles area.

You will serve as a senior field representative, performing layout, measurements, quantity verification, and reviewing contractor work for conformance with plans and specs. You will oversee trackway, station, right-of-way, utility, and pedestrian/bike path improvements, coordinate RFIs and submittals, and assist with change orders, time extensions, and claims.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field engineering or construction management on public works, rail, or transit projects.
• Experience with transportation standards; familiarity with City of Los Angeles (Green, Blue, Brown, and Red Book) and/or Caltrans standards a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; PE license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Active Transportation projects as senior field engineer.
• Provide construction contract administration and field oversight for rail and transit work.
• Perform layout, measurements, and quantity verification; review work for conformance with plans and specifications.
• Oversee trackway/station/right-of-way/utilities improvements; ensure permits and standards.
• Prepare responses to RFIs and submittals; coordinate with design team and Resident Engineer.
• Document change orders, time extensions, and claims; monitor progress payment applications.
• Prepare field reports and communicate project status and risks to the Resident Engineer.
• Direct and mentor junior site staff.
