Interstates is seeking a Field Engineer III to lead technical efforts on industrial projects across the United States. You will serve as a bridge between engineering, construction, and clients, solving real-world challenges onsite and guiding teams through complex installations.

The role emphasizes field leadership, relationship-building, and on-site problem solving. Travel assignments typically span eight months to two years on long-term projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Five+ years in construction, field engineering, or related role; combo of education and experience considered.
• PE license or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on active jobsites and respond to field or client technical issues.
• Review electrical designs and validate installations during construction.
• Serve as liaison between engineering, construction teams, clients, vendors, and partner firms.
• Build strong client relationships through regular communication across projects.
• Lead small projects and coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Support project pursuits with PMs and estimators on proposals.
• Mentor team members through delegation and technical guidance.
• Act as owner's representative to ensure project expectations are met.
• Assist with estimating reviews and RFIs.
• Support 3D/BIM model coordination and document as-built information.
