Job summary

American Management Group (AMG) is seeking a Senior Installation Field Engineer to lead onsite technicians across VA EHR deployment sites. The role demands strong networking, hardware imaging, AD configuration, and reliable customer service in dynamic environments.

The position requires extensive travel (up to 50%), driving to training sites, and occasional air travel. A 10-year experience/degree combo or 18 years experience without a degree is required, with a focus on IT infrastructure and

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, analyzing, configuring, or troubleshooting IP networks.
• Experience in managing technical teams.
• Experience with Wi‑Fi hardware: configuration, management, and issue resolution.
• Experience with network hardware: install, configuration, management, and issue resolution.
• Able to travel up to 50% and have personal transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of onsite technicians supporting VA EHR deployment and training.
• Set up equipment at training sites and verify VA computer images are current.
• Assign Active Directory for training use and configure network connectivity in training rooms.
• Install peripherals at training seats and manage baseband/internet/Wi‑Fi connectivity.
• Provide on-site support and inventory management across training sites.
