Job summary

Traffic Planning & Design, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking Construction Inspectors to oversee highway, roadway and bridge projects across the state, including work for NJDOT, NJTA, and other agencies. You will observe construction activity, verify plans and specs, and prepare daily reports.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Civil Engineering or at least two years of field inspection experience; NICET is a plus; OSHA 10 or related certifications are welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or at least 2 years of prior experience in Construction Inspection through internships or employment.
• NICET levels a plus but not required.
• ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 a plus but not required.
• Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.
• Ability to drive to and from project sites.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License

Our ideal candidate is seeking to grow their knowledge on highway, roadway and bridge projects throughout NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, and/or experience with Local County and State agencies.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations. Assist with progress reports and Pay Estimates.
• Communicate with the Senior Management to assist with meeting the project goals.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or at least 2 years of prior experience in Construction Inspection through internships or employmentrequired.

Pay Range:$29/hour to $35/hour
