Job summary

Traffic Planning & Design, Inc. is hiring Construction Inspectors to support highway, roadway and bridge projects across New Jersey. You will observe activities to ensure compliance with plans, prepare daily reports and pay estimates, and liaise with senior management to help meet project goals.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering or have 2+ years of inspection experience; NICET, OSHA 10 and related certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or 2+ years in construction inspection.
• NICET levels are a plus but not required.
• ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, OSHA 10 are a plus but not required.
• Able to work overtime, some nights or weekends.
• Ability to drive to project sites.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Our ideal candidate is seeking to grow their knowledge on highway, roadway and bridge projects throughout NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, and/or experience with Local County and State agencies.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations. Assist with progress reports andPay Estimates.
• Communicate with the Senior Management to assist with meeting the project goals.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or at least 2 years of prior experience in Construction Inspection through internships or employmentrequired.
• NICET all Levels a plus but not required.
• ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 a plus but not required.
• Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.
• Ability to drive to and from, on, or around a project site during all times of the day.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License

Pay Range:$29/hour to $35/hour
