Job summary

Traffic Planning & Design, Inc. in New Jersey is hiring Construction Inspectors to grow knowledge on highway, roadway and bridge projects across NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, and DRJTBC.

Responsibilities include observing construction activities, preparing daily reports and pay estimates, and coordinating with senior management to meet project goals. Qualifications include a BS in Civil Engineering or 2 years' site inspection experience; NICET/OSHA credentials are a plus;

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required or at least 2 years of prior Construction Inspection experience through internships or employment.
• NICET levels are a plus but not required.
• ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 are a plus but not required.
• Must be able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.
• Ability to drive to and from project sites during all times of the day.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Our ideal candidate is seeking to grow their knowledge on highway, roadway and bridge projects throughout NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, and/or experience with Local County and State agencies.

• Observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations. Assist with progress reports andPay Estimates.
• Communicate with the Senior Management to assist with meeting the project goals.

Job Requirements:
