Job summary

Indigo Telecom Group is seeking an experienced L2 Field Engineer to support deployment, commissioning, maintenance and optimisation of critical telecoms and network infrastructure. Qualifications

• Extensive experience installing, commissioning and maintaining telecoms infrastructure and network services.
• Strong knowledge of optical transmission systems, structured cabling, IP networking, WAN/LAN and VoIP technologies.
• Hands-on experience with equipment from vendors such as Ciena, Infinera, Nokia, Juniper and Cisco.

Responsibilities

• Deliver installation, commissioning and maintenance services across telecoms and network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve complex faults across optical, transmission and IP networking environments.
• Lead field-based deployment activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to quality standards.
• Support customer SLAs through proactive fault management and rapid issue resolution.
• Supervise installation teams and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Conduct fibre and copper cabling installations, testing and certification.
• Perform network commissioning and fault diagnosis using OTDR, Ethernet and optical testing tools.
• Produce accurate technical documentation, reports and project records.
• Act as a technical escalation point and lead engineer on assigned projects.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, quality and engineering standards.

• Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and perform under pressure.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
